This yacht is the most recently delivered 68’ Capri, adding to the extensive series of 68’ models currently in use. Named after the mansion from Gone with the Wind, “Tara” is full of elegant southern charm. Modeled closely after her sister ships, she is distinguished by her personalized layout and custom interior touches, such as a dumbwaiter which services the galley and fly bridge.
From the casual aft deck, you enter a relaxed yet formal environment within the salon. This space features warm colors and soft textures. Each piece of furniture was hand picked to compliment one another both in design and detail. Forward of the salon is the galley which takes advantage of every inch of space with a full line of GE Profile appliances and several Sub-Zero refrigerators. Following a forward pattern, the helm station features sophisticated equipment built-in to the attractive lacquered Cherry wood panels. To port is a little breakfast and casual dining nook featuring a custom built-in loveseat and table.
Descending the galley stairs, which lead to the lower deck, you find a day head with a shower. Forward is the guest stateroom large enough to sleep two on a glorious double berth. The guest stateroom features an en suite head. Aft is the master stateroom with a king-size bed, pop-up flat screen TV and an en suite his and her head with a centrally located shower. The crew accommodations are located just off the swim platform with a small captain’s cabin featuring a double berth, plenty of storage and a head to starboard. Forward from this area is a large engine room housing twin Caterpillar engines. Throughout the entire vessel, complimenting colors and details harmonize the space. Brass and chrome fixtures are continuous throughout, and it is these small details, which add a special touch and a little southern hospitality.
